UAWC Awards

After winning the Equator prize 2014, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC), as a recognition of its developmental role in the Palestinian Agricultural Sector, was named by the US Food Sovereignty Alliance (USFSA) along with the Community to Community Development of Bellingham, Washington, as co-recipients of the 2014 Food Sovereignty Prize. The United Nations Development Agency (UNDP) announced the
winners of the Equator Prize 2014, where it was awarded in New York, in
which the Union of Agricultural Work Committees (UAWC) is among
the winners for its leading role in the fight against poverty and sustainable
development through its Seed Bank Project initiative. The awarding was
in the presence of more than 2,000 international and personal figures,
with a number of presidents, ministers, kings, former senior
